Gasket sets

Post by DrGonzoPOW »

What head gasket sets can be used for the 320/6 ? The only place to get the correct part numbered set for the car is from the dealers at 200 plus pounds shipped from Germany.
Are the E30 parts pretty much exactly the same ? The kits on Ebay are like 50 quid which is far more tempting. I cant see how they would differ or is that not the case ?

Have you tried GSF or Euro Car Parts? Or even main dealer?

lol, thanks.

im presuming i implyed something about someone that shall remain nameless, concidering the factors involved..... i think thats best for all concerned. i can only unreservedly apologize for any unacceptable suggestions i made via my keyboard. and promise hand on my heart to not do that kind of thing anymore. truth be told, ive been having trouble sleeping at night knowing i cant visit this sight, see pics of e21s and give people advice................

so yeah, id be very surprised if a 320i set wont fit. but before you fit it atleast youll be able to put the new gasket on top of the old one to see if it is different.... dont butcher the packaging or open the sellophane on the actual head gasket, then if its different you'll still be able to return it if nessasary.....

Well from what i gather from realoem the main head gasket is the same part number on both the 320/6 and 320i. I messaged someone on ebay but they say their different. What else could be different really ? Its the same engine using all the same parts other than electrics and fuel supply

I guess some oil ways or water ways might vary although I'd be surprised. I thought an m20 was an m20 was an m20?

Bugger knows mate. I know i had a concern about water ways when having the 731 head fitted but as far as i know, nothing needed blocking or blanking on it
