Cool. So does the 'se' not mean much then? Its still pretty much a standard 325 engine?
Regarding the clutch. Saw in another thread that the 323 one would be best suited for the conversion. Or are they all just the same sizes and dimensions anyway

A certain Mr murran supplied the clutch kit for my Baur, very competitive price even including paying him to fit it. I suggest you get your engine and make your plan then sort assistance and parts. Do the timing belt before you put the engine in too.

Always best to have one for extra cooling. I disconnected mine in the end, because the air con evaporator took its place. I got some flexy hoses made and mounted it on the front. Fits perfectly and you get the cooling from the valance vents

Do you mean fitting it underneath the radiator ?
Regarding the fuel pump, is the easiest option to get a E30 318 in tank jobby ?

I've never come up close to a 320 carb but you should also need to fit a return fuel pipe from the engine bay, along the near side chassis and up to the tank. Tank removal is necessary. I would fit an E30 intank pump as they are so simple to fit. I'm not sure if they have the same depth as E21 senders though so I'm not sure how much fuel you'll be able to get up until you run out. This is a common mod so someone must know.

Being a 320, I would also think about exhausts. I have some 323i stuff around but you haven't got the 2nd hole for twin rear boxes. Personally I like just the one exhaust tip poking out!

Fuel lines too eh, man the list keeps getting bigger. Whats the best kind to get, solid or flexi rubber kind ?
I can get a 318 in tank pump but like you say i dont know of the size difference. Do the wires and connectors on them sit in the actual fuel then? Seems strange having electrics submersed in juice.
Can i just use the exhaust thats on the car at the mo or is it going to have to be modified? Cheers

Every 320 i had had the return fuel lines, so that should not be a problem. you need a e30 318is pump ie two outlets on the top and the bit of harness for the sendser as the e21 is a different plug

318is pump should drop straight in. it did on drjims anyway.
exhaust will be fine for now. could do with port matching the manifold to the head. 320/6 manifold ports are smaller than the 2.5 head.

Well ive been contemplating doing something for a long, long time. It needs sorting so ive just thought sod it, and bought everything....There's no excuse now!

The port matching Murran, could i just dremmel the f@*k out of the standard manifold to open up the ports ? He gave me the log manifold with the engine, is that any good for anything ?

More sitting it in front of the radiator. That's not a problem in itself its bending the pipes round. I had mine cut off and had some flexi hoses made up from Pirtec.
