what do i do with a 47k km 316 E21 car i just bought ?

I just got a low km car lhd 316 totally unmolested and standard
i need some ideas what to do with it . all things will be considered also as i am a mechanic so that wont be a problem
do i keep it STD or MODIFY it for street ?
i dont have a lot a huge budget and there are a few issues to do first like the sunroof rusted and the lower pannel
behind the wheels a few dings to sort out on the body i think it will be a great car
SO IF YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A FEW BITS I WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATIVE

I have an 83000km 323 auto, one owner that I acquired before Christmas - the classic little old ladies car. It has the usual reverse gear problem (in autos) and I have a similar dilemma - do I convert to manual or do up the auto and keep it original which is my preference. In your case, I would do the things that need doing and drive it while you make up your mind about modifications. In the long run, it is your car and needs to meet your needs.

There aint much needs doing to a stock E21 to make it look cool. Lower it -60mm and put some nice wheels on and your pretty much there

lowering it and putting some awesome wheels on it seems to be what other people are telling to do
i will soon put some pics of it and organize some wheels for it
