My BMW E21 323i 1978 Restoration from Colombia

Hello guys, I'm new in the board, registered at 2009 when i bought my E21 .

I have an E21 323i 1978, VIN 6504193, manufactured on May 31st, 1978 and delivered on July 4th, 1978 to Colombia. The color is gorgeous: Phoenix (dark orange), paint code 028. Also I have an BMW 2002TI 1971 inka orange, another BMW 2002 Alpina 1973 racing project and my daily car, an BMW E30 323i 1984 two doors.

I started my restoration from completely original E21, really looked good before disassembled





then, fixing few details and general painting to start enjoying .... thought...





but the rust appears, and appears in all the common sites









Fortunately I got the original spare metal sheet parts for change, new ...




floors sections made locally...






























At this time, I decided fit an E21 original sunroof

This week start assembly... i promise pictures.

This is my first BMW, restored for me between 2006-2008, INKA orange color, 5 speed close-ratio, Bilstein sport, with the originals twin solex carburetors...













My second BMW, an 2002 ALPINA racing project, not finisehd yet... many modifications, and many money...















And my daily car, BMW E30 323i, 5 speed sport close-ratio, Alpina wheels, headlights cleaning, stainless steel header... bilstein, eibach..

Have you got any details on how you restored the dashboard? Did it have cracks? It looks better than new
