e30 pats onto an e21

Post by xavier »

Hello
I have an early 323 i e30 that I have been playing with for a few years. I have just come into ownership of a 318 e21. I have spare mag wheels from my E30 they have th same stud pattern as the e21. Are they likely to cause any long term problems if fitted to the E21? I also have a spare set of BIlsteins from my E30. I take it these are not interchangable?

Ok, experts should be able to give you safer info, but if I am not mistaken, the wheels need spacers to fit, (but no problem if you use spacers), about the bilsteins I think they won't fit at all...

Hi Xavier, i have also just bought a clean 1982 318i. I have just done the head gasket, silly me, did not mark where the vacc hoses came from. Would you be kind enough to send me some photos of where they go on your engine, especially the ones from the vacc advance can on the distributer. Have searched google etc but cant find anything usefull.
