I also tested the car back home. Its still a little ice on the road, but highway is ok. Så the car is outside this night and will go back to the garage tomorrow morning.

Nothing in particular today, but 2 days ago: I gave it a good wash (well, not me, others did it for me actually).
And a question occurred: How come and my old BMW behaves like an old car when she is very dirty, and when she gets her wash starts going like new!!!??? (I speak about some small interior noises, that stop when I wash the car!!!)
I don't know what happens, it seems that she just likes to be cared after... :D

Scraped of all of the crap off the boot where the old spoiler was in preparation for the new one.

Cut out seat mounts and drilled floor for new race seat. Gave it a bit of a wash & fitted bonnet pins for fibreglass bonnet.

Today the postman brought a set of steering rack gaiters - I have a small split and want to make sure there's no niggles that the MOT man will pick up on. I also received the samples of Baur hood cloth from the man on eBay, hopefully enough fabric to recover the front part of the roof/windscreen area and the targa panel will not be expensive. Hoping to get the car ready for painting on Thursday then let Shaun do the paint while I stay well away - can never resist touching to see if it is dry! Remaining exhaust/gearbox bits should be here by the end of the week, and once the paint has dried it's build the car up again time.

Also been pondering power upgrades in the slug, tow cars, trailers and whether to go and look at a 330i coupe or a 330d tourer. Driving a Focus is very boring, although with fuel prices where they are my current average of 62.5mpg is a reason to keep it!
