switch replacing question

Post by petroscf »

Ok, I 've asked this again somewhere else but did not get any reply.
Can anyone tell me whether I could properly fit a second lighter-12v connector on my dash, where the front foglights switch exists today?

Sure, but be aware of the fuse you connect it to, you might need a higher rated one.
I don't know what you want to use it for, but the lighter might get too hot. The one in the dash has a lot of room around it, if I remember correctly.

Actually my thoughts are to use this as an ac connector and not as a lighter (not a smoker anyway)
As I am going to remove the front foglights switch (when I fit the BBS front air dam, there 'll be no room for the foglights), I was thinking that the need to charge various appliances, and similtaneously, sometimes, increases year by year (mobile phones, GPS, mp3 players, bluetooth handsfree handsets etc.). So I think that a second ac connector might be of more use than anything else
