its tatty with rusty holes and dints atm.

warts and all, thats what i say!
I'm thinking our cars will be pretty similar in that respect!

Nas, my wiring loom is unboxed, taped up and underneath the inlet manifold. I hole-sawed the bulkhead and mounted the ECU where the glove box used to be, which is also where the relays sit. Bodges FTW :banana . Trust me, your M50 conversion is going to look a lot better than mine!!

I reckon a battle scarred e21 is way more interesting than a shiny one that never turns a wheel. Plus you compete in yours and it's very cool seeing an e21 go sideways! :thumbsup

Tonight I might attempt to fit my rear ARB again. I have my subframe mounting bushes reversed to raise the subframe, it's great except for fitting a rear ARB is now impossible!! I'll have to unbolt the security plates, undo the subframe nuts and attempt to drop the rear subframe a bit to get enough clearance... Not looking forward to it!

Put MIB away under cover till PPC shoot and started mounting rear wing on racer. Finished mounting the new drivers seat too and it's much more comfy.

Also sourced a nice M52 2.8 for MIB as 2.7 provisionally sold. :)

Managed to get a few more bits done on the race car.

Fitted new bonnet.

Image

Sorted out Mr Murrans new harness & even found a second one for the passenger side and some shoulder pads - not the Joan Collins type.

Mr Mk1magics headlights etc

Image

Mr Dan320is's Golf headlights

They're all being parceled up and gaffa taped to the backs of pigeons.

Sadly the chap doing the livery can't fit me in on Saturday so it's been delayed for a bit. Also, as much as I like 2002's, it's nowhere near as much fun to drive as MIB.

ive took that link off the rear diff and pulled the fubar bushes out of it. cut up some rattle can tops and filled it with poly stuff. looks excellent. been for a drive, you can tell it feels better launching it out of junctions. if anyone wants to send me one of these for their car, i'll do theres too for £20!
