Followed in my e21

Post by tedroy1 »

I was making some breakfast yesterday and when I cracked the egg it had two yolks, I was later told this is good luck.

So I awaited this good luck to come my way throughout the day. I played Footy and we got spanked 4-0, so that wasn't it. Maybe getting two yolks was luck enough in itself.

On the way home from Footy a black Audi with two burly skinheads pulled out behind me, and quickly raced up to my bumper, I pulled away slightly to give them a glance at the 2.7's potential and a sniff of the roaring exhaust system. I can't have gone much over the 30 limit and certainly not for any serious amount of time.

The car followed me for a mile back to mine and pulled up behind me at the drive, the window comes down and these two shaven headed gentlemen are in fact the police "oh shit" heart sank and readied myself for a bollocking and probably some points too!

Me: hello
Officer 1 (good cop): right, nice car but can u watch the speed?
(thought about telling them about the speedo not being accurate, but figured that may open a whole can of worms legally)
Me: really? Sorry didn't realise I went over
Officer 2 (bad cop): 50 in a 30!
(I didn't believe that, but wasn't about to argue, I think good cop likes the motor)
Officer 1: your car is in great condition, did you restore it yourself? How long you had it? Looks great!
Me: yer did most myself other than the paint job, had it 4 years, been driving it last few months
Officer 1: ok just take it easy and look after the motor.
Me: appreciate that, thanks very much (thank f--k)

Cheers twin yolk egg!

:cheers

I had familiar situation last year. I was bit of speeding 70 instead of 50km/h. So police stopped me. Didn't want to argue with them so I agreed that I was over limit. So policeman went to his college came back and said that penalty fee should go to repairing my old car. :wha

Another thing was that at that moment I didn't have passenger seat. On its place I had a self made water heating balloon which looked like a huge NOS container. Policeman asked what was it, so I replied that it was NOS. We both laughed and said not goodbye.

I had a very similar story. On my way home from a shopping trip with my wife (trust me they are daunting), a grey E60 5 series cuts me up on a roundabout (by lawley middleway for those of you who know birmingham). I thought, right you 455hole, have some of this and unleashed the 3.5 litre twin turbo engine in my E60. We come up to another roundabout and he is behind me, and pretty close too. I have a electric rear blind on my car so my vision through it isn’t perfect. I come up to a roundabout by Birmingham City football club and once again unleash the 305 horses down small heath highway…..prob doing about 85-90 in a 40…..all the way to Asda on Coventry road…..i undercut the traffic to turn right towards Solihull and the grey E60 is still behind me…..i then put the electric blind down to see if it a mate……….and then come on the blue lights. F*UCK !!!

Armed Police. A gun by his right leg and a “yellow” gun looking object near his belt. Tazer !

He was very respectful, asked me for ID, talked to me about the potential consequences of my actions and then politely asked me to slow down and move on.

Happy days

it's a 3.0 in the 535i/d (there is no nerd icon to put here  ) still, it's a nice engine :D
