front caliper advice please.

Post by max »

Hi,
I've finally had a bit of time to spend on the car, I have fitted a new water pump and new clutch slave cylinder and now the car runs and moves!!! I now need to make it stop! I have got new back cylinders for the back, and the front near side caliper is siezed. I want to replace both front calipers but I'm having trouble getting hold of them. I can get a near side, and there is a drivers side on ebay. But I wanted to fing out if the 323 calipers fit on the carrier? I have a 320 so Ive got solid discs at the mo. I know it would cost a bit more as I wouldnt have calipers to give them in exchange. Has anyone done is ? I would then be running 323 vented up front and drums at the back. Let me know your thoughts boys.

The 323 set-up with slip straight on afaik. Most braking is done with the fronts anyway, so the drums will be fine.

Thanks for help guys. I think I'll order a new vented set up. It's just a shame I'll have to pay the full price as I have no exchange calipers. I can't wait to get it moving properly. Then I'll have to think about sorting the welding!!
