I have been fiddling with this for a while, the reverse switch (which i'm fairly sure is the typical one out of a 5 speed located near the front) used to work but when i changed the motor and put it back in it didnt work. I tried buying a new switch but to no avail, i then tested where the switch goes in to see if there was anything moving out of the ordinary. When it was put in reverse gear nothing moved over, nothing at all could be felt. I am a bit clueless as to why this would happen, any ideas at all?? Anything i can do?? I'm getting close to a roadworthy and if it requires the gearbox out its best to know now.
Thanks
Reverse switch?

Re: Reverse switch?
First short circuit the two wires and see if the lights are coming on otherwise you have a wiring problem.

Re: Reverse switch?
Same happened to me. Went from a 4spd to a 5spd and the switch stopped working. Not put the new one in yet.. Hope it works!
