...your bonnet pops up unexpectedly on the motorway! :launch

...you have to switch the heater on to calm the engine temperature in stationary traffic! :?

...you have to remind your girlfriend that there is no central locking! :wtf

...you have a hole in your floor pans! :hammer

...you have to jack the car up from the chasis rails! :shock

...you get the thumbs up from other road users! :thumbsup

I will think of some more in the meantime :playcar

I know what you mean, but my couple of experiences with 02's were not the best. I really had a hard time comparing the 02 with the MK 2 Escort Ghia. The E21 has a better body, interior, driving position (for me that is) and the 02 lacks 2 pistons..... :-(

I must admit i do like the 6 and the bonnet of the E21 but nothing can touch the round rear lights and the feeling of space in such a small car and the bonnet edges and rear wheel stance and and :D

The nices 02's were the fist ones with the round tail lamps, the later 70's models with the square lamps looks a bit off, but they were nicer cars to drive. The E21 from the rear is very nice, well rounded and the lamps are like cheekie eyes looking at you saying "i am still in front of you............" :cheers
