I fancy some black leather recaros and rear bench in my 316, will I get properly bent over to get a specialist to do this for me?
I could always source the items 2nd hand, but I'm looking at a premium for them as well!

Depends really Rob,
Get a few quotes, although the quality can vary, I've seem some good jobs for around £8-900. In theory it's easier to reupholster in leather because you've got more stretch.
I think leather in an E21 looks lovely, but all depends on how the stich pattern is and pipings a no-no for me anyway.
Let me know if you get stuck, I'll track down some numbers.

Anyone know how to use a sewing machine?
Re: Re-upholstering Cloth seats to Leather?
I rehostered my front and rear seats in leather back in 2001. Cost a bomb then.......but then again I am still using the seats now and there is no tears or signs of wear............money well spent i guess......
