Air Intake...HELP!

Post by nicks85 »

Hey, just looking at engine and have noticed that I have some type of make shift pipe going from the head to what looks like the Rad (Looks like a washing machine pipe :o

So, just wanted to replace with the appropriate pipe.

A bit of expand alloy pipe like the one from the manifold would do the job, and it is the intake for the carb

You won't need it in summer, that pipe funnels hot air from the exhaust manifold to prevent the carb from freezing up.

Nice to know someone has an engine bay as filthy as mine. ;)

PS. As Nas says, it's only really helpful in cold weather. I've been running without one for months cause the metal one I had fell apart and I've not succeeded in finding a plastic one..
