Does anyone make coilovers and anti roll bars for them? Or has anyone found coilovers off something else that fit?

you get GAZ coilovers - RPM (race performance modified) supply them - you have to send in your old struts to get redone.

You could do what some do and just buy the threaded collars and springs from rally design and make your own, which will be a bit cheaper but you will still need decent shocks so not thattt much cheaper.

Whiteline did make ARB's but they are NLA unless you spend the best part of a year hassling them by phone and e-mail. They're available from Suspension Techniques in USA but shipping is massively expensive. Cheapest / simplest option is to double up standard ARB's instead.

anti roll bar wise,
white line used to do a bolt on front kit. and replacement rear bar. i dont know whats going on with supply of their stuff nower days.
ive got a white line bolt on bar up front and ive doubled up the rear bar on the rear. coupled with my spax psx suspension kit and welded diff...... in the dry, i'll challenge anybody to a handling contest!
in the wet however..... any where near the limit.... the back end will be drifting how i like it! but i'll not be able to keep up with you round corners........ :)

Doubling up is a great idea. Have any of you got any pictures of it done?

As for suspension, surely something from another car must fit. Coilovers seem a really pain for an e21.

Gaz would be my last last last resort as they are aweful things. My friend gets the stuff for free and won't even use it on his car :).

Have any of you e21 boys got a great handling car?

They don't ride well at all, they also quote ride heights that they drop too and they don't get anywhere near it.

Gaz are pretty much identical to what was offered by Leda and I'm pretty happy with both the product and customer service. I don't recall people complaining about Ledas product either? My car is mainly for road use and occasional track days and, as such, is quite softly sprung. I also run Whiteline ARB's in addition. I have been very happy with the handling of my car thus far. I'm intrigued to know why you deem Gaz as being awful and a last resort? I take it this means you had a Gaz equipped e21 yourself?

Obviously I can only comment on my own experience and I have no complaints. Performance parts are a bit of a minefield anyway and everyone has their favorite manufacturers. I was ringing around about the best exhaust for an E30 M3 and everyone I spoke to told me how theirs was the best. You pays your money and takes your chances.

You should also bear in mind that performance parts for E21's are hardly commonplace nowadays. Spax & Gaz are about the only options that are readily available here in the UK. There are alternatives in the USA but shipping costs don't make them viable.
Some people on this forum have been modifying e21's for years and have tried most, if not all, solutions. If it were as easy as simply bolting on parts from other cars I'm pretty sure they would have done it.
