Well seems my suspension is shot as well...will be dropping it tomorrow to check, but I am pretty certain TBH.
Plus would expect the springs are originals so must have suffered some deteriation by now...the rears are blue boge..and these too as likely to be the OEs
So...unsure what to do, I was planning on keeping her at standard ride height, but think perhaps a moderate drop would be OK and advantagous.
Was offered some Ledas on here, but after some thought, felt they were a little overkill for my needs, which would be family days out, and the occasional (fastish )country road blast for me! So don't need any fancy adjustment etc...
So currently looking at a Spax complete kit..40mm drop,£380ish or Bilstein shocks with either Boge ( 35mm ) or Apex ( 40mm ) springs.£450ish
Keeping standard wheels and tyre size for now......Trying to keep the cost as far under £500 as i can...as I expect I will need spring rubbers, buffers etc.
Any recommendations/advice/comments! or alternatives

Re: Shock/spring choice...Help please
I have standard yellow Bilsteins (for standard height) and Apex springs for 40mm drop.
I am not so happy with the stiffness of the suspension and I think that this is mainly due to the springs. I may once change my mind, but I think that a bit higher car would be better. Of course I am talking about Greek roads, which are not among the best in Europe...: full of badly covered, or never covered potholes, and bumps...So cars' suspensions don't live their best days here...
I am thinking of replacing the springs for H&R at the next suspension replacement, and see if things get better...
Boge SPRINGS??? I did think that Boge made only shocks...Are these any good? I 'll check it...

I was going to go with the Spax kit until temptation got the better of me and i ended up with Gaz Coilovers, i'm sure the Spax kit will do you just fine.
You like me may well need top mounts and a few other bushes etc. and it looks like W&N are about the best place to get them from, i'll be doing an order for my bits early next week, not sure where you are in the country but maybe we can share the postage costs?
