Re: DrGonzoPOW's 1981 320/6 - M20B25 conversion
Got round to starting the wiring today. Went Vardens route with the connector blocks to start off with incase i mixed anything up

Followed your plans Murran. Am i right in thinking that when you mention the green/violet and solid blue wires that it doesnt matter which ones you actually use as their all connected to the same terminal anyways ?? (theres 3 green violet and 2 blue)
That relay (just next to fuse box plug) just gets chopped of anyway dont it ?
Fuel pump in after some gentle persuasion
It was about the only angle it would go in at and its prob gonner be a pig to connect the hose to it. Which pipes are the feed and return ?? Need to run a live to it. Is that just a matter of buying some wire from maplins or somewhere ?

Made a bracket from the old engines dipstick thingy to mount the air flow meter

Regarding the live point for the battery pos etc. Which wires need attaching to this ? I can see 4 in Murrans photo but unsure of which they are. Also, does the starter have 3 wires attatched...2x posives and 1x negative ?

You have to run a fused wire and a relay to switch the fuel pump. Make sure you use the fuel pump signal wire from the ecu. As this will prevent the fuel pump running constant when your ignition is on.
You may have to look at realoem to figure which hose does what on that fuel pump.
Your nearly there now!

the fuel pump ecu switched live from the c101 is all you need, no need to worry about adding a relay, thats one of the three already in the loom, just earth the pump.
ill come see what youve done next weekend and the big start up!

You did ask.
I just got a Varta one from GSF although I think you can probably buy cheaper online.
Bosch is £55

you need an "063" 40odd amp hour. or a slightly more powerful "065" 50odd amp hour. both will fit in the e21 battery tray.
can pick you one up from gsf if you want? might save you some dowwars being at trade price?
do you still need an e30 throlle cable?
