They were e30 seats but have been extensively modified with e21 runners plus the e21 rear was re-covered in the same material.

Just a heads up on the sump, looks great, lovely welds. Will you be running an accusump with this? (please say yes)
The sump modified in that way is NOT sufficient for any kind of track use. Mine developed a noisy hyd-lifter on a very hard mountain run, it settled down after about 5 mins of idling. This happened on two occasions after long, hard left handers.

Those holes you drilled as a baffle, i had them too although slightly larger. Was looking at an e36 m3 (s50) sump, the wing on the RHS (drivers) is actually fully open, no baffle/wall at all (can post a photo if you like). Just food for thought.

i havent had mine go tappy and ive given it some hammer down country lanes and stuff.

Not running an accusump - not really thought id need it tbh due to not getting any taps? The sump is capacity is very close to stock (6 litres) and I suppose you could overfill them slightly if you know your going to be nuts I suppose.. The problem with accusump is finding somewhere to put it there are very limited options.

ive had another look at your pics and the wing I have - isnt as big as yours I dont think - would be good if you sent me measurements and I can compare yours with mine?

I do like the look of the accusump and I know the guy I bought the TWR from swears by them and has one on his Lancia Monte Carlo. It's just a case of finding where to fit it??

Well today's the day that the engine comes out of MIB prior to getting taken up to Leeds on the back of a transporter. The next time I drive MIB, after today, will be as a 24V 2.8!

Im trying to work this out too... in the boot maybe? with a hard steel 5/8ths line under the car (next to fuel supply+ return lines?). Also maybe infront of the radiator, if car has no aircon?

A line to the boot will gain you lots of extra capacity (in the line itself), but the whole line would be pressurised, dangerous if punctured by a rock... hmm

fyi, i did have mine overfilled by about 600-700ml, not sure on the total capacity, mine may have been a bit less than 6litres. M5x's can be safely overfilled though which is handy
also worth noting, i was probably sitting over 5500rpm while cornering, so the high rpm+cornering G's wouldnt have been a nice combo. This is with 215's toyo t1r's all round. I wanted to do club days but didnt want to risk killing the motor!

I think the spot beneath or in front of the lowest part of the rad sounds best. I'm not keen on having long oil lines running the length of the car. I'm certainly coming round to the idea of fitting one.

Well MIB is the most North it's ever been and is finally sat on Nas' driveway. It only took Michael Ball a week to get it there!

Hopefully Nas will take over with a build thread and lots of photos.

Mr Murran - the rads in the boot & so is the battery Mr Gonzo. Please help yourselves. :)
