Going to spend a couple of hours with a bucket, sponge and polish before Ace Cafe tomorrow. It'll probably rain now.

Well today...(yesterday) I changed the oil and filter which wasn't too bad and easy. But what too the p*ss was changing the gaskets for the exhaust manifold which took a whole bloody day. I can't believe it's such a mission getting around to those bolts. But anyways got it all done so all happy

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
Yesterday I did a goooood service (including all usual replacements, carb setting and all inspections) and TODAY, I came back from MOT (called KTEO in Greece).
Everything found great, so the car was OK.
2 minor remarks, though (minor=I don't have to do anything, the car is Ok, but for MY safety/better comfort I should better fix these issues)
Issues:
1) Handbrake shows not to grab bith rear wheels at the same level (It showed big difference from left to right-the left was less). Ok, this one I should look it into...
2) Front headlights: They told me that normal beam was not strong enough!!!!! (the guy told me that only if I am not happy with my lighting should I replace bulbs) I was shocked!!! : The headlights have been recently fitted (the car used to have the factory singles, and I replaced with double after market Angel eyes, the ones that Jimmi (Alpina) had on his car. Since then, I experience a way better lighting, and even the bulbs that these lights use are new (I replaced them both last year, when one came dead!!)
Of course I don't need to do anything, and also I am not obliged all right, so one might say, what's the fuss about?
I just was shocked !!!

I threw away all my cans of WD40 when I got hold of the MIL Spec aerospace corrosion preventives.........e21-Mark wrote:Pinched the idea from the Legion but figured if we all post ''what we did to our car today'' it would give a good idea of life running an e21.
Well today....
Actually it was yesterday, but I took half an hour to swap one of my rear light clusters as the brake light bulb had gone and the bulb holder was rusty as hell. I got a replacement a few weeks ago. Anyway, I cleaned the rubber surround and made sure it was seated properly to try and stop any water getting past in the rain. I also did my monthly ''whip out the fuses and clean the holders'' before giving them a dose of WD40.
Apart from the rear light it was just a case of checking the oil, water and tyre pressures which I try and do every week.
Also, inspired by murran, jim, jason and ben I've decided to get involved with a bit of e21 motorsport.

Sorted out the suspension geometry which included bringing the front ride height up slightly. As a result, there seems to be enough front clearance and the sump guard isn't grounding out every 2 minutes. Fitted the exterior pull-cable for the electric cut-out too. Decided to fit the Ronal front spoiler too. Just a handful of jobs left to do before Sundays event.

Trial fit on the rear wing and just need to paint end plates satin black before I bolt it on.

Re: What did you do to your E21 today?
awesome!
I took the corner at high speed, came in the ditch, drove straight through a garden, flipped over 4 times and then I lost control of my steering-wheel!
