Hey John, regarding the throttle cable. Ive use the E21 one......It sits well in that little square clip and the nuts on it bolt up to that bracket on the side of the manifold. Its a bit long but is working fine

Decided to put a hole in the firewall just next to the front left wheel arch to run the cable through. It comes out just underneath the glove box so i can run the wire in through the kind of cut out section where the little torch thing used to sit. Am i ok just chopping a bit hole in the firewall without bothering the mot man ?? Made a start but my hole saws are shite and not up to the job

looks very neat with that conduit stuff - where did you get it from?

as long as the hole around the cable is sealed up I dont think you will have a problem. just be careful about sealing as you dont end up with water getting through.

Just off ebays for bout 12 quid. Got a bag of 3 different sizes.
That rubber plug on the loom looks in good nick so should seal the hole pretty well as long as i make it a tight squeeze

Got round to some finishing touches earlier today. Painted me bonnet....

Came out nice. Colour match aint the best but its a decent tidy up. Did a couple of grotty bits in the boot too. Got a decent top feed gun for cheap and its way better than my cheapo suction feed crapper.
Cut the hole for my ECU just below the glove box, rubber bung fits niiiice and snug so fingers crossed no leaks. Need to figure a way of mounting it on the underside of the dash. Took some pics but without a flash you cant see owt.
Only jobs that need doing now are a leak in the exhaust joints, battery secured in the boot, bracket for air meter and its pretty much ready to roll! Oooh, got me radio working again too! Was just the 10amp fuse at the back of the unit :banana

Yeah sorted the roll bars out but still need to do the pads and discs. Need to se how much its gonner cost me on insurance before i decide to keep it. They've quoted me a ridiculous price to renew and i certainly aint paying that
