Mass 4 day bender in France has ended. It is just about time to books the golden goose in for an mot. Did an evening sesh when i got bac and got the fuel filter sorted with new lines, then cut some holes in the wing to strap it onto. Most of my time was taken up by pissing around getting the bonnet correctly aligned once it went back on but presto!

It finally looks like a car again.
Only jobs now are that leaky exhaust and securing the battery into the boot. Think i may just book the mot this week!

Bonnet alignment is a right arse to do. I lined mine up with the marks where the brackets were before and it wasn't right! Given that the hinge pieces can only go in one place, it was all a bit odd! Think the problem is that I've rehung the door slightly differently and the aftermarket drivers side front wing doesn't line up right. Completely shit panel gap, but bit of tinkering got the bonnet looking OK.
Good work on the car matey, hopefully I'll get my Baur finished soon (broken central heating and need to do extra work for £££ getting in the way), and we'll arrange a meet.

Couple more loose ends tied up. Scratched my head for ages thinking of a bracket i could make without cutting anymore holes in the wheel arch. Turns out, if you flip the air flow meter upside down, theres part of the manifold it can be bolted to fairly easy with a home made bodge.

Also got a chav tastic heat shield to go with my chav tastic air filter. May look a little odd with the meter upside down but i dont mind to be honest

Had to cut holes in the boot for the battery tray though. There's 2 handy holes already in the standard battery tray to put the bolts through so just drilled into them. Pinched a clamp strap from work too to hold it down a bit better. Need to get a bit of carpet to finish the boot off.

Just the exhaust leak in the joints now and it is ready

If it definitely works upside down I'll be doing that tomorrow - my bracket isn't quite right and that looks easier than making a new one!

Works just lovely!
Afraid the mot for the car has been put on the back burner for a little while longer due to my van failing on a few things. So need to prioritize the work on that first
Wont be long though. Got exhaust patched up today so it is officially ready
