Brakes ...
All I hear about is wilwood or Volvo 240 calipers... Iv seen on a early e12 a set of 750 calipers with 8.40 discs he had a mate make up the brackets... Surly this would be a cheaper option ? Opinions

So you mean disks from an 850 with 750 calipers on a e12, none of which are ideal for a e21.
No idea of it will be cheaper last time I got volvo calipers (7 years ago) they where a £10 each in the breakers, I sold a set of 540 calipers recently (same as 750) for £100 as they are a popular bolt onn upgrade for e34/e28 and e30's with cheap brackets.
the wilwood and volvo conversion use the standard 323i disks, for the wilwod'ss you need custom brackets and i am not making any more. So it's cheap if you get the bits cheap and your mate makes you brackets for nothing
