316 Upper radiator hose

Hi all

Just about to order all the stuff to install an electric rad fan, and I have been looking at several inline hose thermostats like this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOP-HOSE-THERMOST ... 20b5ebb3ad
and I was wondering if anybody knows the inside diameter of the the upper rad hose?
