Single headlight conversion help

Post by ollieee »

i have the single head light grills.

i still need headlights - where can i get bmw headlights from? or do i need to find another car with a 7 inch headlight such as a golf and modify the light to fit?

does anything need to be done to the wiring when removing the old 4 light set up?

thanks

hELLO,

I have done the opposite...
Best is to put the two electrical plans next to each other and find out what to do.
I think you have to keep the connection of the outer headlight, and pull off the wires from the connection of the inner light.
1 is ground, other is highbeam. The wire of the highbeam must be connected on the original connection of the outer headlight. You also have to change a relay in the fusebox . when you change from lowbeam to highbeam, the lowbeam must be cut off and the highbeam enlightens...

I went from single to double headlights.
I 've put my 318i single headlight next to my 320 double headlight and compared the two.
I 've created a cupper bridge at the bottom of the fusebox, and changed the relay 4bit to 5 bit.
ethe original connection was ket, an added two wires and a hella connection for the inner high beam.

Good luck!
