replacement weber carb....replaces Solex 2BE....?

Post by mk1magic »

Hay all
ive come across a weber conversion for, what looks like, a 316. It states on the box "BMW 316/518 1983-88" however mine is an 82"?
Is there a possibility this will work?
Let me know guys!

83-88 is an E30. I'm pretty sure early E30's were M10 engined so you might be in luck. Someone more knowledgable should be along shortly though. :)

2BE (E30 M10B18) is the electronic version of the good old 2B4 (E21 M10B18). It requires a different control so its not a straight swap. However, I can't tell you how much more hassle it will be, over to the next specialist haha!
