dimensions of hubs for spacers

Post by pistonheader »

Hi guys,

the spacers i have on my car really need replacing....they're crap. i can get some made up if i know all the dimensions needed, the inner diameter which it slots onto the hub, the outside diameter (which is the size of the hub - though i guess this isn't strictly important) and the bolt sizes and their distance from the outside (or inside) diameter and their configuration.... if any of that makes sense?

hubcentric spacers cannot be purchased in 5mm sizes and the others are all generic crap and don't do the best of jobs. getting the wheels on and off is impossible without 2 people and lots of patience at the moment. i can get these made up for free as my dad owns an aerospace engineering firm :D i just need every single possible dimension etc!

thanks in advance chaps

Ross.

thank mark, just what i wanted to know. he said it'll be a piece of piss to make (and will be a darn sight more accurate than even the more expensive hubcentric ones too).

might include a small lip coming out from the ID to give the wheel something to "hang" on to so it makes it easier to put the wheel on. currently there is nothing so need someone to hold the wheel up whilst the other lines the spacer up and puts the bolts through. it's a right pain in the arse! going to measure OD of the face on the wheel where the spacer sits against so it's nice and plush with that too. currently the ones on the car now have such a large OD we had to put a huge chamfer on them to make them clear the 323i calipers!! can't take any more off due to their design.

thanks again mate.

do you know the outside diameter by any chance? as said i know it's strictly not important but would be nice to have it sit plush.

thanks
