What kind of radio to fit an 1982 316
Guys,
I'm looking to fit a radio into my 'old' girl - not the wife but the car and I was looking for advise as to what kind of unit originally came with the higher spec models? Any pics or brand names would be appreciated.
Thanks
David.

Anything early 80's would be good.
Alpine, Pioneer or even Harry Moss and Sharp.

I remember Blaupunpt (excuse spelling!) being the radios to have in period?

Re: What kind of radio to fit an 1982 316
Thanks guys for the advise and pics, I appreciate it!
I found a company in the UK that sell vintage radio's with modern internals so the pic really helps me decide what unit would look best in my car. Once I've fitted the unit I'll take a pic so you can see how it looks.
Mark - thankfully after a long wait my restoration is back on track now, only major thing left to do now is to have it repainted but I probably wont do that now until the spring as there's no point having the lovely new paint work sitting in the garage over the winter months, roll on the new year!
Hope your TWR project is still going strong?
Thanks again
David.

not a problem petroscf, glad to help!
I'm not sure wether to go for one already converted or try and source an original unit and have that converted. If anybody has an original unit and their will to part with it please let me know!
Thanks
David.

Don't have a head unit but I have a period blaupunkt amp that was fitted to some E21's and some Porsches of the day (I think!) which you can have for a fiver?
