Head Unit Ignition Wiring

Post by p4uke »

Hi

Iv just fitted my soundsystem, all up and running fine. But....I dont know how to get the head unit to have constant power so that it will save all my presets etc.

Iv connected the red and yellow wire both to the live, and theres an orange wire just taped up not sure what that is for.

Help!

both wires must be on an ignition live then if its not saving your presets (radio stations) when you turn the ignition off and you cant turn it on.
to work as it should, the yellow wire needs to be on a perm live, the red on an ignition live. ie; saving your presets but still not able to turn on without ignition being on.
to be able to turn it on without the ignition being on both red and yellow wires need to be on a perm live.
