Does anyone know if there are any e21 strut braces available in Australia (preferably South Australia)??
Or if they're not available here, any recommendations on where to get hold of one?
Cheers.

That looks great!
I may still be interested. Let me know if/when you start producing them and, depending on shipping costs, you may have a buyer..

There is one on ebay Australia at the moment. No connection to it and I know nothing about the seller but it looks good. I made my own - looks a bit rough but does the job.

hmm, i have a mate living in Aus (Brisbane), and hes coming back to the UK in december for a few weeks - maybe if theres is one here you like i can get him to take it back with him seeing as he owes me a favour?
In fact I might see if i can get a few copies of the one on mine made up seeing as theres a few people who need them.

Yeah I noticed the eBay one. Must have come up since I asked.

Only problem is the price. $240 + postage is a bit steep for what is probably $40 worth of metal. I have another mate with an e21 who's also after one, but if they're gonna be that much we reckon we'll give it a go making them ourselves.
Thanks for that offer Nas80, but the overall cost and difficulty (and inconvenience to your friend) of that might mean it's still a better option to make one up. Much appreciated though.
If I do end up fabricating my own, do you guys have any tips? Should I go with aluminium for its lightweight qualities or will that not be strong enough for the purpose? And fixed/rigid brace or bolted?

Re: Strut brace in Australia?
Mine is aluminium and has lasted finethrough everyday driving and occasional trackdays. As long as someone is comfortable welding/working aluminium it should not be a problem. Plates bolted to suspension towers, fabricated connectors, bolted strut bar with rose joints on each end of the rod for adjustment and away you go. Does not look as pretty as commercial ones, but it works! Steel will do the same job and more people can work it more easily.
