its been a tough 3 months, lots of blood, sweat, tear and welding burns! but its been worth it, its not finished bt any means, but it will be a rolling resto from next week on.

work so far, of the top of my head

outer sills
inner sills
boot floor
front panel
inner arch repairs
front footwells
lower door inners and outers

completely new brakes throughout with copper pipes
new fuel pipes
stripped and rebuilt front and rear suspension, new shock and bushes
rear crossmember mounts
track rod ends
replaced head gasket and rebuilt head
water pump timing belt etc
all new fluids
new tyres
dyed the carpets
new speakers

i could go on and on.........

so, just to refit the mirrors, finish fitting the interior and get it to the mot. looking forward to the frst drive!!!!

That was the mission, to try and get the majority of the work done before winter sets in. I have taken lots of pics which I will post in my photobucket folder, when I get 5 mins and post the link.
Thanks for the support guys.

cheers, booked in for an mot tomorrow, so fingers crossed. it had the bottle tops on when i bought it. i actually quite like them, but would prefer a set of cross spokes with polished rims. next year maybe???

so the baur passed its MOT with flying colours, just an advisory for the track rod end being to close to the wheel, which was easily sorted by swapping the 5mm spacers for some 10mm ones.

it seemed pretty flat to start with, but ive borrowed a strobe light today and set the timing properly this morning, and its changed the car completely, still needs a carb rebuild though i think.... as its drinking fuel like nobodys business.

one thing i have noticed is that the rear hood buffets like crazy above 60mph? is that normal??
