New to the site

Post by RobinL »

Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself before I start going off-topic :spam :D

I'm a dutch petrolhead who's first word was "Auto" (Car in dutch) and that's not even a joke. But that's more than 20 years ago, now I'm 23 years old and I live in the Netherlands near Rotterdam. This is also where I work as a Desk Operator (loading and discharging barges/sea-going vessels) for Royal Vopak.

I found this site when googling for "e21 323i". I've got my eyes on this model for a few months now and I want to know where to look out for (specially what NOT to buy).
I'm driving a Volvo 360 2.0i at the moment, but it's not half as fun and beautifull as the BMW e21/e28 series. This is why I'm lurking and searching on this forum & website. I found a lot of nice stuff, the only thing I need right now is the car itself :).

And of course, I can't be a n00b without a question: What's a decent price for a nice non-alpine/non-bauer LHD 323i? Should I be thinking about € 5000,- or €10000,-?

For now I'll stop boring you any further, I just wanted to introduce myself before I starting posting/asking anywhere else.

Cheers,
Robin

Welcome! Great examples seem to come up pretty often, and prices should be low around this time of year so just be patient..

Hi Robin,

Welcome here! Good plan to start looking for one of these

You can pick up a fairly decent example with some work required for abt 5K, near mint around 8K and a real low mileage full spec minter will do abt 10-12K. In the Dutch section there's a topic where we discuss cars for sale in or around Holland.

Don't forget to check out the buyers guide and if you have any questions left, shoot! Good luck with the search!
Regards/groeten, Jeroen
