Should I spend money before selling?
I've got my 323 advertised in the for sale section (see link) which was due to be viewed today, but they didn't turn up, so I'm now going to advertise it properly on a few sites

I have the car booked in to do some work to address the advisories that came up on it's last MOT - namely a bit of welding to the drivers rear jacking point area, but my question is... is it worth spending money on this (I've been quoted £150-200) or should I just mention it in the ad and lower the asking price a bit?

I'd rather buy a nice solid car with a fresh MOT personally.

No mot youll have to lower your price by a lot more than a bit.

Yes I agree. I'd rather spend 150-200 to be chipped down £500. I'd want more off than it costs to do because of the hassle of getting it done too. Your car is nice and has been looked after. I'd just throw that couple of hundred more on it where you have spent grands already.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll get it done. Just to be clear, the car is MOT'd until next August - the work I mentioned was just an advisory when the current MOT was issued!!

Yes but to see that the work needs doing by next mot. You will kicked in the B##locks with an offer.
