I am going to fit some new sound gear but want to keep everything stock looking (apart from head unit) and would like to find out what speakers will fit with cutting etc
I will also install a few amps and 10/12" sub to make up for the lack of bass but I just want crisp sound not a doof doof pimp mobile!
POLK? INFINITY? CLARION SRP4620M (with split tweeters)
Thanks in advance
what speakers fit in stock grilles?

Have a quick look at the "mounting 6x9 speakers" thread from oct 4th 2011.
There's a bit of advice on different setups there.
From your username I'm guessing you're from Australia..?
I'll re-post my comment here..
"I know that Polk (American brand) make several good models of 6x4's available in Aus.
I got mine (model DB461) from a car audio shop in Adelaide (Tonkin's In-car Solutions).
$150 a pair. Great quality. Easy install under stock grille to keep them inconspicuous.
I've been very happy with them, but I agree - they would be more ideal with a sub in the boot."

Re: what speakers fit in stock grilles?
I only installed them in the back btw, no mods or at all to make them fit.
The tweeter didn't quite fit under the grille, so I just changed the order when screwing the speakers back in.
originally went: parcel shelf - spacer - speaker - grille
change order to: parcel shelf - speaker - spacer - grille
simple. looks dead stock.
hope that's useful...

Re: what speakers fit in stock grilles?
I tried it orderder four 4X6's but in the front they don't fit because of the form the magnet is pushed against the metal..
@i think they can't be deeper as 3,5 cm in the front
@ the rear they can be 4cm
