de eerste e21 BAUR
Re: de eerste e21 BAUR
No doubt VIN and Baur-plate are right ones.
Question is: Why those VIN and Baur-plate was transfered to much newer and different body?
It's not same car anymore, not even close similar than original first Baur. Nice looking car,but those numbers in that body are almost worthless.
Fictitious for example: If I buy lots of Alpina stuff including Vin and plates and put those to my 315 -83. Do I have original A4 -77 if VIN and plates matching? ...and valued as original?
Is somewhere more pictures about that car?

I see what you mean. And indeed: I've never seen pictures of the body during welding...only before...and after painting. So probably he just changed the complete body underneath the Baur-frame. Might be even that he just took an other Baur...

Well, i'm convinced now for sure and a bit dissapointed too.
In my opinion Andreas was the master, but he missed the spot this time.
We can clearly state now that the first Baur probably no longer exists
But now a lot of type 1/type 2 body differences are pointed out to me for my own knowledge, thanks!

Indeed, ik fully agree with Wondermike.
Maybe its good to start a topic what differents is in the body of a first and last e21.
greetings loentje

Ik had al aangegeven dit voor hem te kunnen opzoeken, desnoods via het chassisnummer maar tot nu toe geen reactie ontvangen.
Ik vermoed dat het Baur plaatje er dan niet meer op zit trouwens.
