Options/suggestions for New Exhaust ?

Post by E21 Addict »

Hello Gents and ladies (if any around here) e_surprised

Looking to change that single long rusty tube on my 316

I had a standard E30 318i (Not 318is) and it was silent and weak

I found a powerflow exhaust that was made for 318is so abit shorter...after welding and mods i managed to fit and e_surprised e_surprised e_surprised

The car was loud as f***************************** and you can feel that extra few bhp

so looking for this innocent e21, any loud exhaust options or a universal ebay one will do the trick ?

pictures or links or will be highly appreciated :thnx

Jay

If you can wait a few weeks the zorst off the slug will be available - you can save it from the scrap bin - mild steel 2.5" pipe with a cherry bomb in the middle, no rear silencer. Surface rusty but would clean off with wire brush, and a bit of paint will help it last longer. Steps down to meet the fritz 4 branch manifold at the front, but it's the same place as the standard downpipes go to, and it's a standard exhaust end, so it'll fit straight on.

It hits 103dB on the noise meter at trackdays, not sure how loud it'd be with a less tuned engine, but apart from the effort of collecting/fitting it it is FREE.
