What Engine?

Hi Everyone,

My father has just given me his Bmw e21 320 (Auto) in white 60.000 on the clock, it's been garaged for about 16 years no rust at all, and the garage is heated, however i think it's time i upgrade the car. I Would like to give someone the project to do but have no clue in how much i'm looking at. I am going to keep it in the original colour white, bbs split rims etc....
My main problem is what engine and gearbox to buy?

Depends on how much you want to spend and the level of performance you're after?

Cheapest & easiest is 2.5 from an e30 325i which will give 170+ bhp and only cost a couple of hundred quid.

I think I saw your car outside the tyre shop about 400 yds before the railway bridge last summer?
