Ever tried the search function here? Since you speak dutch as well, how about this sticky right at the top of the dutch tech pages: http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=16331

Was the Dutch link above any good? We composed this how-to together with a small team and it should be pretty complete!

Good one, I'll update the thread with that info. If you have the old type fan with the 13mm bolt at the front (in between the radiator and the fan) you need the old type water pump OEM P/N 11 51 9 071 560. If you have the new type fan clutch with the large 32mm nut in between the fan and water pump you need the new type with P/N 11 51 9 071 562.

As a rule of thumb, the new version is fitted from around Feb 1981 but the only way to be sure is check under the hood. My May 1981 car still has the old one!

One remark if you have the old type fan coupling: as this clutch is getting harder and harder to obtain (BMW stores them laying down instead of the mandatory upright storage position nowadays so most of the new ones from BMW are already dead) it may be worth considering upgrading to both the new water pump and fan. Cheaper to buy, more universal (most 80's and 90's BMW use the same) and it will last longer.
