e30 318i inlet convertion

Post by mr edd »

Hi
I am in the process of fitting the a inlet manifold off e30 318i(l jet) m10 engine to my 2 ltr m10 engine and have found that the throttle body bore is tiny compared to the one on the original k jet setup is there a larger bore throttle body that is a straight swap or at least will fit with slight mods?...edd..

Doing the same to mine, but was just gonna use the standard 318i TB. Do you think a bigger one is necessary? I think the 2002 guys use the 318i one with no problems, but there is also an adapter plate on www.2002faq.com which allows a 325i TB to be bolted on

compared to the throttle body of my 320i k jet inlet the 318i l jet throttle body looks tiny even the throttle body of a m40 1600cc looks miles bigger...
