RHD Brake servo question

Post by bimmer fans »

Hi, during an inspection my car failed with a vacuum leak in the brake system. It failed with the follow issue, while the engine running the inspector depress the brake peadl and shut off the engine immediately than the brake pedal push up, the inspector said that my car has a vacuum leak, to address this issue I am going to change the brake servo on my car but I only found a NOS ATE RHD brake servo which stated it fits 316, 318, 320, 320i only dated from 1975 onwards, but my car is a RHD 323i and I am wondering would it fit? thanks guys!!!

early (1975-1977) rhd cars had two remote servos fitted similar to a bmw 2002 .rhd cars late77 on have the master cylinder mounted on the servo just behind the front panel on the right....very different!
e21 320 (12/1975) 320i/4 (3/77)running gear.
e21 316 (1981) TRE702X.
