Mystery pipe!!?

Hi, I've got another fuel pipes question!
I'm having a look at refitting the tanks and there is a little pipe coming down from the breather up near the filler neck. I didn't take the tanks out so I don't know where is should go. It looks like its snapped off?! The workshop manual isnt much help, but does mention an evaporation pipe? The pipe comes a small plastic tank up inside the rear wing in the boot.

I've just replaced all the breather pipes on mine today, does this diagram help:

It sounds like number 5 - connects to a plastic piece with 3 ends.
