Has anyone got some product numbers for service parts they've bought from euro car parts for their 320/6. There site doesn't seem to differentiate between the 320/4 and 320/6 and I want to get the right bits.
Im looking at order:
Oil filter
Dizzy Cap
Spark plugs
timing belt (kit)
Thermostat

Apart from the dizzy all the parts from an E30 320 6cyl should be the same (correct me if im wrong e21 boffins) so id use that menu to choose from. The part numbers should match up anyways.

If you choose a 80 or 81 model then you get the 12 valve version which is the 6 cil and not a Starlet triple valve lol
Only the earliest E30 320 and 323 examples are the same, after that they moved to a different design mounted at the front on the cam

Are timing belt kits the same for all M20 engines, is it just a belt and tensioner, or do you normally get an idler too? Also looking through the haynes manual, if the car has air conditioning does it have a different type of oil filter? And what are the difference between all the prop shaft couplings? on ebay the price seems to range from £18 - £50.

Belt and tensioner should be the same (127 teeth) and so is the oil filter.
Prop shaft couplings: get OEM, all other stuff is cr@p including the ones from WN, causing early wear, vibrations and gearbox leaks.

How much are they? Is there anything else worth getting OEM?Jeroen wrote:Prop shaft couplings: get OEM, all other stuff is cr@p including the ones from WN, causing early wear, vibrations and gearbox leaks.
