Trying to find color code for Alpina green...Need Help

Hi,

I am planing to repaint my E21 in Alpina green just like this 1982 Alpina B7S Turbo Coupe http://web.me.com/lromanosky/ALPINA/198 ... bo.html#82

Can anyone help me finding the color code for this Alpina green? Is it on the list of BMW color code or I be able to obtain the code elsewhere? On the website it said "Colour (Sonderlackierung): Alpina Dark Green Metallic (Dunkelgrun)"

Or if there might be any other similar BMW in green, that would be fantastic .

The code you are after is #289. Dunkelgruen 1992-94. Google BMW clour codes and you'll come to a site called uniquecarsandparts who list every colour under the sun.

Thank you so much Gaz. This is a great help. However, I'm still a little confuse and may be I'm wrong about this. It seem to me that this Alpina green is metallic paint, but when I looked at the color code no. 289 Dunkelgruen, it is solid paint. Can anyone identify if this Alpina green is metallic or solid paint? Would love to hear your opinion as I want to make sure that this is the right color. Thanks.

Just got information from a member of BMW Classic Thailand. He told me to take a look at Standox's website.

http://www.standox.com/portal/

Then select "Color Formulations". New window pop-up then I used keyword "Alpina", and all the list of Alpina colors were showed. All the color formula are there which I believe this is a useful information to get the right color. I believe the color that I'm looking for is "ALPINAGRUEN" color no. 513.

I also cross checked with DuPont website http://www.dupontrefinish.eu/portal/

Then select "Colour Retrieval". I was also be able to obtain the information as well.
