Single headlights

Post by e21-Mark »

Just thought I would mention that I have had a couple of headlights break recently due to old age. Where the glass bonds to the reflector they have broken away and the glass literally drops out. Original singles are getting harder to find now and I wondered if anyone has tried alternatives?

I was thinking of these as a replacement.

Has the glass just come away from the housing itself Mark??
If so, it can be put back on, i think, if they are a similar setup like the E30 ones.
Use some high temp silicone, it won't drop off then.

Looked at fitting the golf ones, need to make up some mounting brackets, the golf ones will not fit into the e21 headlight support/bracket.

My friend told me that E28's big main headlights from Hella (big and small headlights version) can be a substitute for E21 single headlights.

I think VW Golf Mk1 front lights fits...
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
