Silverstone 'Arena GP' BMW Trackday - Sept 24th 2012

Post by Nick »

Silverstone BMW Trackday,
Monday 24th September 2012

Full 'Arena' GP Circuit
Open Pitlane
Full use of the entire Silverstone 'Wing' garages
Free ARDS instruction (three of my guys are ARDS grade S 'super-instructors')
Dedicated novice schooling and tutorials
Friendly club atmosphere
Non member guests welcome
Non BMW's welcome
Trophies and prizes

Free photographs for you to keep courtesy of our official photographer

Full magazine coverage from BMW Car Magazine

BMWCC Members £275 - Guests £325 - that's the cheapest day there this year by a country mile.. BookEasyGold and all them want around £400 off you.

I keep the entry numbers low so we all get plenty of time on circuit.

Over 30 years at Silverstone - we have been coming here each Autumn since the 70's!
The daddy of all Club trackdays - This for us is where it all began, out on the grand prix circuit and we are still enjoying it.
We don't share with anyone, we bite the bullet and book the whole place as an exclusive hire, we always have - not a bad achievement for a small one marque members club!
If you only do one trackday this year, do this one - nobody runs a Silverstone trackday like we do!

Regards
Nick

Hi Nick.

I've hoped you have subscribed to this thread...

How long do you get on the track exactly? Is it until you break something / get bored. Or is this only certain amount of laps / time slot?

Nas

You go out on track when you want, and stay out until the fuel light comes on, fill up with fuel and repeat as often as you want. Open pit lane with Nick allows you to do as much track time as you can take. Of course you may want to have a rest, tinker with the car etc, but apart from that you can be out there all day.

I'm surprised none of your Dutch friends have been over to join us - they would love it!
I don't know how much the crossing would be, but accommodation in the local Travelodge is only £30 or so for a family room

Well yeah but over here the schedule is swamped with trackdays! Nurburgring, Zandvoort, Assen (TT this weekend!), Zolder, Spa and some small local tracks as well. All can be done in a day including traveling, afraid that makes the difference.

Yes, and what a great choice of world class circuits - I'll have to bring our lot over there for a bit of a tour

We might be able to do something, how about a 3-day trip doing a track a day, Spa, Zandvoort and Assen should be possible with some planning

Yep - that sounds great
Not this year though, but we could look to doing something like that in 2013.
Can you get me some prices for all three circuits?
