Hi all,
I have an issue which I would like to discuss ore get some advice.
I have complet my s14 swap to my e21 with motor and gearbox (getrag 265) euro spec. and I´m running the e21 323 rear.
Due to the gearbox swap I can´t install the speedo wire to the gearbox so I´m wondering if any of you have experienced the same issues and how did you solve it? I´m looking to have as original look as possible. I´ve done some research on the forum but haven´t got a clear answer..
looking forward to some help..

Re: Speedometer advice
You have to fit the back of an electric speedo from another bmw into the face of the original. Not easy and id question the accuracy too.

Re: Speedometer advice
Yes that would be an idea, but I still need to pick up the rotation from somewhere, as I still have the e21 rear differential.. I´ve heard that the getrag 265 box has the opening to install the gear for the speedocable in the box and that it just plugged.. I´m trying to find out if its true or not and searching around...

Re: Speedometer advice
you can get a device the kit car guys use - it fits on the prop and uses a hall sender which sends the signal to the speedo.
