I have managed to get an excellent E21 (1.8 Y) which I am really pleased about. The previous owner really looked after the car.
Only thing I can see that I need advice on is the fast idle. It is just right from cold but 100-2000 revs when warmed up. Could this be a stuck carb needle or a matter of idle adjustment?

Where are you based?
Could be adjustment. Hard to be sure without seeing it. Mixture screw should be about one and a half turns out and then set idle.

Hi, based in Bristol. Will have a good read of the Haynes manual before I mess with the settings!
