Hello everyone,
I had been working on my 1976 2002 and bought a 1978 E21 for the fresh engine. Well as I got deeper into my 02 build I decided to go with the M20 swap. So I then found a 325I that had kissed a tree. The motor was great and it was sitting on 3 month old Bilstiens and IE stage 2 springs. I pulled that motor and traded the suspension for a 1980 320IS that was "ran hard and put away wet". (the bonus was the sport seats and the LSD for my 2002 build) (BTW still have some parts available). Then after looking at the 320I a while I starting to fall in love with it. So i decided to put the manifold and the Weber from my m10 on it and remove the fuel injection (was pretty crusty and a cold nature beast). Then i found another M20 and well the saga goes on and on. Long story short.... I am going to get the 1978 320I on the road. (as soon as i master Photo Bucket i will post pics). So i am going to be searching for "Tips and Tricks"..... the occasional part...any direction you long time lovers want to throw my way. So after i get this 78 rolling i will be back in the 02 frame (sub frame) of mind. Looking forward to getting familiar with this site and owners.
Thanks Brett
