They'll be used year round, I don't have another set of wheels for winter ATM (although I do have some snow chains for emergencies..) - Which would you choose and why? I'm leaning towards to the Kumho Solus atm..
[edit] The site above is blackcircles.com for anyone interested!
Also, if I do have those steelies I'll leave the tires on them and still get some new ones for these alloys - so advice would still be appreciated if anyone has any experience!
At a glance they all seem ok to me, no cheap Chinese rubbish at least haha. Michelin Energy 3B is not a sporty tyre but durable and also a decent performer in the wet, I've done enough kms on those but they're not exactly cheap.
But I hear a lot of good about Hancook lately, so much I am 99% sure I'll try a set on the Baur in spring. Their K715's might be an affordable but still good quality alternative to the frenchies. Looks like I'll be going for the Ventus Prime 2 K115 in 15" myself.
Thanks Jeroen. I'm actually thinking of plumping for the Uniroyal Rainexperts now, considering the typical British climate. The reviews say they perform better on 'light' cars - I guess that covers our E21's? They're probably light by today's standards..
By today's standards an E21 can almost be called an ultralight lol, and agree the Uniroyals are supposedly better in the wet. Because of its softer compound it is said to wear quicker but not to an extreme.

Yes not short on wheels i have a set of e21 steel wheels with 185 tyres and a set of e21 alloys without tyres and seven part worn tyres to fit them and a set of e30 14" bbs alloys ..so any time you want your steelies just say and i will sort them out for you (and its my turn to travel to you this time!)....edd..
