G23 engineering make them 250 quid four adapters.

what offset rims could you use with these and how wide could you go

Depends on offset .. I tried a set of 17's I reckon it looked crap. I think cos the e21 has high and tucked in sills so it makes large diameter wheels look disproportionate.

The m5 turbines woody had were ok but a bit marmite. I can't think of a 16" wheel now make in 5x120 which would be worth fitting?

You'd need arch work more than likely no matter what wheel you fit I reckon.

Adaptec in the US (same as the eBay link to splitrim clinic) still list them. Or in the UK there's Venom.

I have a set but having them copied wouldn't be cheap.

I think any bigger than 15'' looks out of proportion on an e21.
