wheels and offsets?

Post by e21power »

Hey folks

I'm nearing the end of my restoration of my E21 and need to sort out some wheels. I've been looking at 15" and 16" wheels (nothing bigger or smaller) and am now faced with choosing the ideal offset?

The cars going to be low (I'm thinking a 10mm arch gap at most) running on coilovers so it needs to be something that can take this into consideration. I dont mind running stretched rubber but I have just replaced the rear arches so dont want to go destroying them or chopping them up, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Phil

Not sure anything over 15'' suits an e21 to be honest. You need ET13 to clear the track control arm up front though.

16's will work as long as you keep the total diameter identical. Width may become an issue over 8" wide I guess, before you know it you'll need negative offsets and you'll be rubbing the arches. Details on stock specs on the specs pages or in the FAQ section here http://www.bmwe21.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=18256
